I applaud all who work to lose weight,
This endeavor is bound to frustrate.
If there just was one key, all thin, we would be,
We could eat anything on our plate!
When you’re finally determined to diet,
Each plan, app and book begs you try it.
The choices abound, some prices astound,
Kooky tips you will find are a riot.
Should you go keto or fasting or plant-based?
Your trust in one type might be misplaced!
So you try two or three, the better to see
If one program will work with more haste.
Now you’re faced with nutrition confusion!
What foods should be marked as “exclusion?”
Can you eat this or that, without gaining fat?
Might weight loss be all an illusion?
Quite often you despair and you fail,
Each small hiccup will cause you to rail.
Hey, don’t curse your sad fate, trust one trick to feel great,
Tomorrow, just don’t step on the scale!
